Modern Warfare 2 is an upcoming first-person shooter video game developed by Infinity Ward, published by Activision and due for release on November 10, 2009. It is the sixth installment in the Call of Duty series and the sequel to Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, as well as the second game in the series to be set in modern times.
